    Here's hoping for BELs!

Just out of curiosity, how do you plan on telling the single-gene babies apart? Or will you just call them butter/lessers? :P

Congratulations! I'd be interested in how your clutch comes out; I've got my eye on a female Pastel Butter to pair with either a Lesser or a Het Russo once she's grown. If you get any BEL's, please share some pics, I'd like to see how they turn out for you based on your pairing...that, and those are super cool looking snakes, regardless, lol! Good luck and hope the odds are in your favor.

With my lessers and butters it was very easy to tell which was which. My Leucistic (lesser x Russo) only produces lessers that are high contrast with bright yellows, lots of alien heads, and spots in them.

My butter produced butters that looked just like her. Very light and faded. Low contrast, very few alien heads with many connected, no spots, high white sides..

Since most BPs (even normals) produce babies that have patterns and color very similar to their own, it should not be hard to tell which is which by comparing those single gene babies to each of the parents.

To the OP.. Awesome pairing! Here's hoping for great odds and ALL LEUCYS!! ;)
