    need help with this
    i have a 1600 gram female normal that has paired up successfully 4 to 6 times with my mojo male now i try to put him in for the last three weeks everytime he tries to lock he isnt successfull then i go to check on them and she is at one end of the tub he is at the other but when i put him in with another female he locks with her any ideas they have been locking since december

    Sounds like she is done for the season, are you sure that she hasn't ovulated? because if she has she very likely will not lock up any more.

    i check on them twice a day i havnt noticed a ovulation i have palpated her and dont feel anything but im no expert the last three times ive put them together he seems to be tryng to lock but he is not even near her tail but now they just dont have interest

    i did notice a couple weeks back she stayed soaking in her bowl for two and a half days and she is off feed now

    Because a female will not lock or show interest all of the sudden does not mean she is done.

    Not uncommon for them not to lock for a while and than start locking again later on.

    Also remember because you do not see anything and they are each on one end of the enclosure does not mean that nothings happened.

    Has you female shown any signs such as glowing, building? Did you witness an ovulation.

    Unless you have witness an ovulation I would recommend you to keep pairing.

    no i havnt seen any glow or anything but she has been eating good until a couple of weeks ago she is off feed now she will yank her tail away from the male as well

    My girls refuse locks here and there, it's pretty normal. I would keep pairing until you see eggs or give up.
