People now days...

Geeze... people now days... so here is the story. i posted some babies and other stuff on CL to sell a while back and this guy contacts me and starts chatting me up trying to get some snakes and get into bps..and he ended up being just a looker.. which is fine im all good with that. then a month or two later he contacts me again to see what i had for sale.. again.. i tell him and he responds by saying "no way thats way too steep. i get everything wholesale" i explain again thats fine i understand i explian to him that im not a wholesaler i am just a small hobbyist and i cant just give stuff away that i dont need anymore,and i even pulled up fauna and kingsnake to get some refrence prices for him to show my prices are fair.. he responds "i dont care your prices are no even close to being fair i jsut got a adult breeding pair of black pastels for $150".....

im just like.. dude if you really get those prices (which i doubt) then why dont you just get everything from there cause no way would i ever sell something like that for that price...:rolleye2:

But really people like that annoy me. If I were you I wouldnt sell any animals to people like that. I dont breed at all yet but Im hoping to within the next couple of years and I'll make it a promise to myself to get to know the buyer a little bit before selling them one of my animals.

People... I can understand someone inquiring and finding that a snake is out of their price range, even trying to get the price down, but this guy went way too far.

i try to do that... im not doing it just for the money i love these animals and like to make sure they are going to a good home.

by all means i encourage people to haggle. i hardly ever pay the asking price for something myself so i dont expect customers to do it either but eveybody has to have a starting point you know... i was jsut like sorry dude but no way am i giving you a 10 egg 3000g normal female for $50.. like its just not going to happen haha shes worth more to me to keep breeding her to a couple multi gene males.

Yeah there is a big difference in haggling and being a jerk. This guy was the latter. I am not a fan of folks who think they can brow beat others to get what they want.

He was just trying to hustle you. I get people like that in my tattoo business, people are horrible at hustling, especially when you been in the business for a long time and aint stupid, it makes me laugh.

I always get people like that on CL. They always try to say they know more about whatever it is than I do. I ended up getting rid of my proven mojave male and pastel male for $175 but that's because I needed them gone that day and it was to a friend of mine who said I can buy them back later.

Oh the old I just got better for cheaper trick.. LOL people with those kinds of hook up's don't surf CL for snakes..I don't have those hook up's and I don't even surf CL for snakes..congratulate him on the "purchase" and move on..
