Re: feedback on husbandry
im using an uth and a uv heat lamp to keep ambient temps up. im feeding live rat pups. /thats what the breeder said she was eating
Re: feedback on husbandry
She could also be stressed out from the changes in hides, and the moss being stuffed in there. Each time you change something, she has to readjust, especially if she is young and new. I would just leave her be for a week, then try again. Are you feeding in her tank? Try putting the rat pup in her tank when you feed to lessen stress.
Re: feedback on husbandry
my uth are on a thermostat. The only thing that i can think of that was a significant change was that i cleaned her cage out. I put in coco husk bedding but i took it out after she started to burrow in it. I was afraid shed burn herself with the uth. She refused last night how long should i wait before i try to feed again. I know bps her weight should eat every 5 days should i wait longer?
Re: feedback on husbandry
Wait a full week, 7 days before offering food again. Offering food to often can stress them out too. She should be just fine. She is a ball pyhon, and they do go on food strike too. But it sounds to me like she is being over stimulated.
