Introducing my beardies and Q's

So I have two bearded dragons that I've had for a couple months now. They were tiny when I got them and now they are huge!

I'm not too sure on if they are male or female, here's tail pictures that were very difficult to take lol I was worried about hurting them and they were worried about me messing around by their rear ends =P

I have two questions:
1. if they are both males should I separate them even though they get along?

And

2. if they are male and female should I be worried about having a whole colony sooner or later or will they just view each other as tank mates and not breed?
