    car woes
OK, the boyfriend and I had a grerat easter. Except, on the way home, our car started on fire.
Not that it was a huge thing, but I guess some of the wires melted above the exhaust thing (header?) under the hood. First the speedometer stopped workin, then a minute later we smelled smoke and pulled over. my boyfriend, bless his dear heart, taped the wires up nice with electrical tape but didn't realize it was just a fuse that needed to be reset! So we had some tense moments thinking that we'd need a rental car.. tow truck (on easter, yikes...)
Anyone here have knowledge regarding cars (wiring to be exat, the kind that melts under the hood, not in your hand..) Is it expensive to fix/replace? I know we cannot go around with e. tape in there forever..
It's a '95 Nissan pathfinder. Not in bad shape at all, except for the occasional crap suchas this.
