    I have a eatting issue
I have a pastel BP that I had bought about 3 weeks ago he is 900g in weight but I can't get him to eat since I bought him tried him on F/T rats and tried him live mice but still he doesn't show interest. Wondering if someone out there can give me some advise on what to do different to get him to eat.

Please describe the setup you have him in and how you offer the food.

Assuming he's properly set up, I honestly wouldn't worry about it until he eats. Balls aren't the kind of snakes that are going to hammer down their food every time it's offered. The tiniest change can put them off food for months at a time, and sometimes they'll stop eating even if there is no change. Funny animals...

I have him in a 50gal tank with a heat light and a underneath tank heat pad. He has two hiding spots in his tank and we take the F/t rat and wiggle it around like if it were alive and no interest in it and the live same thing. and still no interest but he is very active moves around lots he is out more then my other BP that I have.

Does the under tank heating pad have a thermostat to regulate its temperature? And what are you using to measure the temperatures and humidity levels in your tank?

Also do you have more than 1 Ball python in the same tank? if so that might be your problem.

If he's out a lot during the day, that's a sign of stress. A 50 gal. tank is big too. Do you have plenty of foliage to help take up space?

He probably needs to adjust. Tank seems big, maybe give another hide or two. How is humidity? And leave him be, no handling or messing with, other than to clean and fresh water until he eats. Are you feeding in his tank, or moving to seperate tank? That could put him off also. What was he eating before you got him?
