    Stumped
Someone asked me if this was a children's python, and I really don't think it is. I've never seen a black children's python but in some of the pics you can see some faint "spots", maybe a hybrid? I don't know, I'm usually not too bad at identifying some snakes but this one has me stumped! Any ideas?

Eh...I've seen spotted pythons and even double checked. This has a python looking face and head but is very dark almost black with very faint darker black spots and an almost yellow belly. Very odd.

    It's not a spotted or a children's.

    Or a hybrid.

Or maybe even a python at all. ;)

    Have fun!

(Hint - eyes and nose on top of head - why?)

No idea Todd, just got a random PM on another forum asking if I knew what kind of snake it is. He said he was under the impression it was a children's python and I disagreed immediately and told him I'd look into it....lol

Its certainly not a northern water. The head alone almost looks like a water boa of sorts but the rest just looks off to be one. I will look into it and see what i can find.
