Anyone ever made dividers for tubs?
I don't live in the USA so there are no sterilite brand tubs here available. There are other brands but they are not measured in qts etc, so I find out what the floor space is recommended and I convert.
Currently, for small ball pythons I am using what would be similar to your 15Qt tub size. They move into bigger ones at about 800 grams. But I don't have smaller ones like 6 qt that people use for hatchlings. Thus far I have not had a problem with small snakes in the "15qt" ones, but I am going to get a bunch of hatchlings which will probably outgrow a "6qt" type tub within months. I was thinking instead of building a rack with small tubs, use it for a few months, then just having it there unused, I can just build a divider longitudinally on my "15qts". This is also because the smaller tubs I can get here are either around qt size but not ideal because they are more squarish than long. The smallest long ones I can get are a little bigger, about halfway between a 6 and a 15.
It would be simple enough to get some acrylic sheet and build a ridge I can slide them in there, they can even be opaque so they don't see their neighbour. But the problem is that the inside bottom "corners" edge is rounded and not a right angle.
Any ideas? Any reason this is not a good idea?
