Any place dark and small. Everywhere you wouldn't think to look but may have not gone too far if it found a good spot to ball up in. So look everywhere and in and under everything.

They usually dont go far. put out a heat lamp and turn off all the lights. look at night. remember they are nocturnal so they will hide all day and come out at night. another good one is... scent a box with the smell of a rat and check it and around it through out the night.
ive had about 4 escapes in the last 15 years of having snakes and these are some of my crazy methods lol
- put newspaper all over the floor in my room cuz thats where it escaped and listened for him to move around through the night.
- the scent box and spot light worked for me.
- the couches are another usual spot
- ive never done this but ive heard of it... tie a string to a f/t rat and leave it out. you might find the snake on a string in the morning. only in extreme conditions would i use that one tho

Its probably still in that room so keep a towel under the door to prevent it from getting out if it hasn't already but I would be almost positive that its still in there just hiding. Every time I put my girl out in th open she just crawls for the first place she can hide possible. But may go on the move a night so try and find it now and again look in every nook and cranny around the tank first and move outward slowly and check everything from shoes to blankets and etc. Good luck.

Here's what I've done. I have an escape artist who gets out every now and then (I have NO idea how!).
I'll open the window and cool the room. I leave a heat lamp on in the middle of the room directed right over a hide. I check every 2 hours or so, and presto! They're there every time.
A few warnings though: If you don't find it within a few hours, make sure you bump up the heat on the rest of your collection so they don't get too chilled. Also, if it takes longer than a day, you run the risk of having the escaped bp get sick from the cold.
I've also left rats out to thaw throughout the day and the scent has drawn them out too.

I usually place a hide box over a heating pad. This has worked well for me.
