When's the best time to buy?
I have some money saved up to buy a new ball. I am deciding between a few right now but they are generally in the 1k range. It looks like there will be TONs of clutches hatching all over the internet in about a month or two.
Hamburg is coming up, so I'm sure I'll find what I'm looking for. But with all of the 2012s hatching soon, should I wait a couple more months and hold out for possible price drops? Do you usually see a decrease in overall prices once the new slew of hatchlings debut?
Re: When's the best time to buy?
New snakes are hatching year round...summer probably being the busiest time. It depends on which snakes you're looking at. In the $1k range, some will drop off pretty quickly over the next year, others not so much. If you want males to breed next winter, I'd say buy now. It's up to you...playing the waiting game on prices could work out for you, but it could work against you. Whatever purchases you decide to make, do it decisively.
