    get'n FAT!!!
just thought i would update everybody on my little girls progress. when i got her she had only ate 3 x in a year. she eats 2 mice a week for me and has grown alot and looks great now. she was 275 grms and 25" long when i got her now she's 448 grms and 29" long she has shed 2x and it wont be long for the next one, it has all happened in about 8 weeks time. does this seem alright? she looks and acts healthy. and 3 days after she eats she is really looking for her next meal, so thats why i feed her 2x a week. thanks !!

Great to hear! :) Just a suggestion though. If I were to feed my bp twice a week, I'd do it all at one feeding, instead of spread out a few days apart. I'd think it'd be easier on the digestive system. I could be(and probably are) wrong though, lol.

So you feed her ONE mouse every three days? That is ok and it should put some weight on her faster. When you feed every three to four day, it is said to cause digestive problems (but I have never seen any proof) by some and to others it is perfectly ok. Just make sure when you are feeding you are useing a smaller sized rodent to limit digestive strain on the snake. If you start feeding the max size rodent every three days and up your temps to help digestion then that is Powerfeeding, which may or may not be too good for you snake (it is always under debate).

Have you tried offering both mice in one sitting? I have a 300 gram male that has been pounding 2 adult mice every five days since he was 240 g. Give multiple mice in one meal a try. It might keep you from worring about feeding every 3 days.

I've tried feeding her 2 at a time. she wont take the 2nd mouse. she just looks at it like sorry I'm not hungry now. but in 3 days she's back on the hunt ready for a meal. so thats how I've been doing her and she seems to be doing great on it right now. warm side temps stay around 93 to 96 cool side is about 82 and that is were she stays most of the time.

that sounds fine. Thor did not take the two mice the first time I offered it, It would not hurt to try two or three more times. the only thing I really dont like about feeding so frequetly is that it cuts down on handling time, but that is keeper preference.
