We've got all our snakes into a rack now instead of separate bins--let me tell you, not having to open lids is just fantastic! However, now we're trying to find the best hides for our snakes, especially for adults. It seems to be difficult to find containers that are a good size and shape and are still cost effective. Any ideas would be great for that...although the reason I'm actually posting this is more specific.

We have one male spider who LOVES this rock hide we bought a while ago (similar to this one) but its really heavy and clunky, not to mention it sucks the humidity out of his bin like crazy. He really jams himself into it and curls up, and if we try him with anything flat or with too much extra space, he stresses out. Anyone have any good ideas as to what we can give him as a replacement?

    He's just over 4' and roughly 1500g

I love the hide boxes sold by reptile basics.

This picture shows their mini, small and medium sizes along with a 200 gram male pastel of mine. They make bigger ones as well.
