    Care Fresh Bedding?
Anyone use carefresh regular or carefresh ultra for your snakes? I was thinking it may be a great idea. Yes it may be a little costly but would look nice and smell good. Any body use it or have a reason not to use it?

I wouldn't use it. It is for small mammals not snakes.

It says on the bag it is safe for snakes and also some breeders use the white carefresh for display bedding. Anybody else use it?

I've seen breeders use colored carefresh to jazz up their show displays. But I wouldn't use it for permanent housing of snakes...I wouldn't even use it for small animals.

Carefresh says dust free, but it is very dusty and does cause respiratory problems in small animals. Not sure about snakes....Its also really messy when wet or soiled because it turns into a gross muddy mush.

I tried to use it for a little while but with the degree of humidity we keep the balls at the bedding molded!! Which is a huge mistake!!!

I've been using it because my latest bp came with a new bag of it. Haven't had any problems with it but I dont know if I'll keep using it once the rest is used up.

I would not use it for snakes. I tried it for mice and rats and did not like the results. One of the rats had a bad allergic reaction to it.

If you like the look of it, give Desert Snow a try. Very little dust, and it is quite absorbent.
