    feeding during shed
Is there any reason not to if they'll take it? I always feed Jackson during shed, and he's never refused.

I've always wondered this very same thing. Both our guys eat during their shed cycles. Julius even eats when he's totally in the blue.

I don't know of a reason not to, especially if they'll eat. I have some that will refuse when they're anywhere NEAR going into shed, so if they'll eat, go ahead and feed them! :)

I feed during shed with no problems. Matter of fact I fed my pin last night and he was in shed, then when I got up this morning he had a full shed completed with a full belly. I usually gauge it on feeding day. When I am warming up the rats all of my Balls will roam all over their enclosures ready to eat. If one is in shed and doesn't come out of his hide, I won't feed him until his shed is over or he seems interested again.

If the snake will eat, let it eat. Some people wont bother because most snakes refuse to eat during shed.

I always offer on their regular feeding day. If they refuse, that's fine...at least I know the reason they refused!! I've gotten a pretty good handle on who will eat during shed and who won't...but I always offer and hope to be surprised. If they do, indeed, refuse...someone gets seconds or it gets saved for next week!

If your snake will the it, then your good. If your snake doesn't, then don't worry about it. simple as that.
