    Flexwatt + thermostat?
Someone on another forum suggested this for me as I'm having a problem keeping the humidity up in the viv (a plastic container thingy), and was told that the lamp I'm using is probably the reason the humidity is won't stay up. Can anyone tell me in plain english exactly what flexwatt tape and thermostats are?

Yes, lamps do suck humidity out of the air. Flexwatt is an under tank heating element. I use it and it is great. Like lamps, the temperatures produced by the flexwatt itself fluctuate too much to properly keep an snake. A thermostat is used to regulate the temperature in the enclosure to keep it right for your snake (kinda like how you set the thermostat in your house to get it to a temperature you like).

You can also go to www.mgreptiles.com read over the stuff and view some pics to see what everything looks like. Matt(justcage) is a great guy. I get all of my heating supplies from him.
