    Pairing Questiion
Hi, I put my 2600gram female in with my pastel male on sunday. They breed all day and night and now they are done. I was going to keep a thing like breed on sunday through wedsnday and rest the rest of the week. So my questioin is should I take him out and wait until next sunday? thanks

I am kind of curious too. My male albino locked with two of my het albino females all night and all day. This was about a week ago. I have tried pairing him with both of them again with no luck. Markus Jayne says that they breed every female at least once every shed cycle. He says this helps keep from exhausting the males. I am only breeding my albino male to the two het females this year so I may pair a little more often. Not trying to hijack thread, just curious about the answer to your question too.

you need to separate your male and female after a few days of breeding so they can rest and you can have a chance to offer them a meal.

I put my males in for 3 or 4 days then give them 3 or 4 days off. If I witness copulation I will shorten this time period. If they seem uninterested the next time I put them in I will give them a couple of weeks before introduction again. The time apart seems to get them interested again, maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder?:D and yes males do need some recovery time so dont overwork them.
