Oh no, not Another 'What do you Guys Think of this BP from CL' Thread

I haven't yet contacted the owner to ask for more pics/weight, but he looks super bright and I love his blushing. I wasn't going to go for a regular pastel, but he's so pretty and bright I might give in. Is $150 too much for an '11 male pastel?

That looks to be a very exceptional pastel. I would first ask for pics without so much glare, but it still looks to be really nice. If it's as nice as it appears, and is otherwise healthy, I don't think the asking price is unreasonable. Of course, being on craigslist, never hurts to try to ask for a lower price.

Just to put it out there, a flash from a blackberry makes all snakes way brighter. I could take one of my pastel and it would like a firefly. Jus be warned.

Sent them an email asking for more pics, weight if it's possible, size of prey, and if they're open to a price negotiation. Hopefully he's really that bright and it's not just a trick of the camera. -fingers crossed-

I hope everything turns out the way you'd like. I personally, wouldn't pay $150 for a male pastel, especially off Craigslist, but that's just me :rolleyes:

Ask for a photo on pale surface.
Black backgrounds fool cameras into thinking it is darker so they increase exposure and brightness.
Makes yellow snakes look awesome.
Green or blue backgrounds show true colours imo, however i still think its one of the better CL finds.

If possible go check it out and get it because you like it, not because everyone else likes it. Colors change one way or another and you're the one that has to take care and look at it more than we do.

He still looks as good as I was hoping he would be. He apparently has yellowbelly siblings and is a poss. het. pied (though I wouldn't hold my breath if I ever tried to prove him out because he's only 50%, apparently). He's apparently eating adult mice every 7-10 days so he's probably not massive.

After looking at the second set of pics id have to say its stunning, browning a little already but imagine the super from that blushing or even a firefly. I wouldn't pay 150, but being honest i would pay a little more than usual price, but that's because i like it. How much you like it will determine if you pay double the rate for a male.

He said he would take $125 if I was serious. I think I am, I just have to wrangle up some money to get him with. He's really blushed out and his pattern is crazy. If he doesn't brown out too much more too fast, $125 could be a good deal.
