bad shed
ok i saved a ball python from someone who longer could care for it, was somewhat neglected. seems kinda thin but is active. he had tried shedding but was shedding in pieces, i added the right heat bulb for temp and some humidity well he shed the rest off. but recently ive noticed some scales seem darker and feel kinda sticky on some spots on his back almost look wet. they also appear kinda light red like little sores. I already let him soak but still seems the same. any ideas?

Can you put up some pictures? Pictures will really help people on here to "diagnose" your problem.
Also some more details about your snakes set up could prove to be helpful (What type of enclosure you have, what type of heat sources, how you measure temperatures/humidity, and what the temperatures and humidity levels are)

it almost sounds like a early stages of a burn. Photos and check the temps very carefully.

Re: bad shed
ill get some pics. yeah it makes sense if they could be minor burns becuase in his old enclosure that was given to me with him they had a heat rock and he would burrow underneath. I took it out asap im using a heat lamp with day and night bulbs. he's in a 20 gallon long with reptibark. he eats well and is active so i dont think its serious. they told me i could try the healing oinment for snakes. i only see small little spots on him that look darker or almost wet but they feel sticky not wet so it could be secretion from him maybe healing but ill get some pics up.
