    Panda Pieds?
So, I've been researching "Panda Pieds". I've fallen in love with them.
I'm considering purchasing 2 or 3 Black Pastels that are 100% het for Piebald, just to already have the ingredients for a Panda, or instead- just buying a Panda to start with.

I'm wondering what peoples opinions are on which route I should take.

Should I buy 2-3 Black Pastels that are 100% het Pied, raise them, feed them, breed them and play the genetics game, possibly spending more than I would on one Panda in the first place...

Or just spend upwards of 4-5 thousand dollars on one snake?

OR - Wait, and do both. Get a Panda, and then get an opposite gender Black Pastel 100% het Piebald and breed those.

Or just go all out and buy a pair of Pandas...

I'm seriously considering them, but as I'm not that experienced with breeding (this is my first year) I won't be breeding Pandas any time soon. And mostly - I just want a Panda cause they are GORGEOUS. The only real reason I would breed would be to get a return on my investment, or just get more Pandas..

I'll stop rambling now. I guess what I'm asking is, what would you guys do - Given that money isn't an object?

Or or or lol you could always get a super black pastel het pied and breed it to a piebald??? It might be a tad more on the less expensive side but its still gonna be costly. If not then IMO if money is no issues id get a proven breeding pair of panda pieds. And I agree they are amazing looking snakes.

Even if money isn't an object, I think the availability of panda pieds would be...it's not a project I have much interest in, but to my knowledge, there aren't so many panda pieds going around that purchasing one may be an option.

I've never seen a Panda Pied (Super Black Pastel Piebald) for sale, since the demand for them is so high, and since they are so hard to make. But if I did see one I'd be very surprised if it was under 20k.

Your best chance for making your own Panda Pied is by getting one or two Black Pastel Pieds, which I've seen around for about 6-7k each.

Or you can go the Black Pastel het Pied route, which go for about 2-3k each.

Which ever way you choose I wish you good luck. If you haven't already you can play around with different ways to make a Panda Pied with the World of Ball Python's Genetic Wizard

And if you are in the immediate market for some Panda Pied ingredients I remember seeing some Black Pastel Pieds and het Pieds on Colin Weaver's List of currently available animals.

I believe that there has only been one panda pied produced. If I were you I would get your hopes up.

This still wouldnt get you the panda pied I'm pretty sure. Someone feel free to correct me. At best you would still only get black pastel pieds.

    Check Fauna :)
I found a female Panda Pied - that was NOT the one in the video that WOBP's shows in their listing for a Panda Pied. She was 5.5k.
I also found a few Black Pastels that are 100% Het Piebald that are under 1k each.

I haven't actually looked into Black Pastel Piebalds yet - I think I'll do that right now. :)

I believe you may be mistaken. I'm pretty darn sure a Panda Pied would not be for sale for 5.5k

Are you refering to this ad? http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=282283
If so check out the title, it's not a Panda Pied, but a Super Black Pastel (allegedly) het Pied. Looks like a ringer.

If someone is selling a Black Pastel that they are saying is 100% het Pied for under 1k, well that seems like a good deal, too good actually. As with any het, I recommend buying from someone you can trust, or someone with a A+ reputation, as it will take you years to prove that the animal really is het Pied.

It sounds like the ad is saying that the snake in the pic is the one for sale. SO is that just a super black pastel het pied ringer or what? Cause it sure looks like a super black pastel pied, I thought ringers usually had the white closer to the vent.

To do that you would need some SERIOUS cash but most importantly there would needing one to be up for sale and at this point I am not sure if there are many out there aside from the original one produced a few years back.

A panda pied would not run 5.5K price if you are looking at a 6K price range you are looking at Black Pastel Pied which would fall under that budget or in the case of the ad quoted a Super Black Pastel Het Pied

Female super black pastel 100% het pied.
To get a panda pied you have a few options they will depend on your patience and budget.

You can go the least expensive route Black Pastel Het Pied X Black Pastel Het Pied or go the most expensive route Black Pastel Pied X Black Pastel Pied and of course there are the options in between as well again depends on the patience and budget.
