she might need to move up from mice to rats soon.

So I have had my bp since october or slightly earlier and shes getting bigger. I want to say shes about a inch in diameter at her biggest and about 2 feet long. I dont have a scale and I really dont know how big around small rats are but I know for a fact that she isnt full after one adult mouse anymore. I hope one of the more experianced people on here can tell me if they think shes ready for a small rat. I also dont have the funds for a scale atm and its way to cold to take her anywhere to weigh her (even though taking my snake some where to get wieghed seems obsured).

Ball pythons fresh out of the egg can be started on rats. Large rat pinkies or even fuzzies will be fine.

just make sure its appropriate size and go for it the sooner the better feeding a 3500g mouser gets expensive

only thing is i cant get rats that arent adults so the smallest I can do is a small adult rat. and I think she may be bigger than an inch in diameter shes almost is as big around as a paper towel roll.

You don't need to get the rats from petco. There are many great sites to purchase them from, or if you are like me just buy them when there is a reptile show near you. I normally buy the current food and one size up for when my corn needs bigger.

yeah the only thing is I dont feed f/t live only and I will start breeding once I move. Its just easier and I live way out of the way for a rep show.
