    feeding?
    my bp is 6 month old. i live in alberta canada rat free they say and are illegal. when he is full grown i don't want to have to feed him 4 mice a week anyone out there feed there's a degu? a rodent size of a rat from south america.

    I don't know how Canadians see things, but feeding a degu may be a bit more controversial. you can't feed frozen rats? There's a few other things you can feed, but I'd be sure to check your laws very closely...if rats are illegal, I can't imagine others not being. But you can try ASF's, gerbils, hamsters, chicks, baby guinea pigs. Keep in mind that should you ever need/want to sell it, feeding on anything other than rats or mice could be a turn off for potential buyers.

    Are you sure you can't buy them online from a place like rodent pro (or a Canadian equivalent). I know that some places ban the purchase but if you buy them online you technically are not purchasing them in that area.
