    So it finally happened!
Tonight was the second night I offered f/t to Houdini. He wasn't having any of me dangling it in front of him, so I placed it inside his hide and left him be for two hours. I went to go get it out, expecting it to be where I left it. Well, what do you know? He ate it! I'm so happy he finally took f/t, it opens up a whole new world!

Congrats! We had to switch our adopted Ball from live to f/t and had a bit of trouble, but when we left the rat with him the first time, he eventually ate it. Haven't had a problem since.

I totally understand your relief! Congrats again! :D

Yes, it's more cost efficient on us now that we won't have to drive four hour round trips for rats. :D

I was worried my little guy wouldn't take f/t after refusing his first meal. Tried a week later and boom; took it within 10 seconds of holding it in front of him. Ate his second meal this past weekend, Newman is on a roll!

I have a normal that won't eat f/t yet. She'll smell it and investigate it but then move's on? I will try to do like you and leave it in her hide. I'm just afraid she'll ignore it and the rat will end up stinking up her tub.
Congrat's on getting your bp to feed. That's great.

I worried about the stink too, but a deep clean is a small price to pay when it comes to getting f/t started to me. :)
