    Vermiculite ???s
    The only vermiculite I can find locally is either fine or medium. I can not find coarse. Would medium grade be OK for my egg tubs? I know coarse is good to allow more air and help prevent mold. I also looked for perilite but its either sold out or has fertilizer in it. Any help is appreciated...

    I think medium would be fine. I see no reason why it wouldnt be. Mold doesnt grow well on vermiculite anyway.

    I agree, mold really shouldn't grow on it so you should be ok. I would go with the medium grade. Are you going to put your eggs on it, or are you going substrateless?
