    REALLY worried :(
I got an albino ball from Ben Siegals and they shipped her yesterday. The weather here was great (around 75). Today it has dropped severely and its only 30 degrees right now, do you think my ball will be okay? I'm worried about her getting too cold :(

Ben's been doing this awhile, I'd hope he would check the weather and adjust according. Only way to know for sure is call Ben or wait and see when she gets there..I'd call Ben so you know kind of what to expect.

UPS? I was under the impression that they don't accept live shipments. Was she just shipped overnight with no "guaranteed" delivery time, like with Fedex Priority overnight (by 10am or noon, depending on your location)?

Do you having a tracking number that you can check?

That is a recent development, there are a few of the big breeders that are still grandfathered in from the days when UPS shipped live animals.

I'm sure it will be fine. As long as there is a heat pack in the box. They are pretty tough animals. I've had snakes delivered to me in the dead of winter with no problems (I'm in northern NJ). Let us know how it works out.

    Good to know, thank you.

The "no set time" part is what wouldn't be acceptable to me, and a shipper or customer. I'm sure Ben packed her properly (heat, etc.), but I don't trust a carrier (UPS, Fedex, etc.) that I can't call and ask why my package isn't there by the promised deadline.

I called UPS and they told me where the truck was at in town and I went to find her and I got my albino girl early. She was REALLY cold even though there was a heat pack in the box with her. Once she warmed up she started crawling around on me. I put her in her setup and I'll check on her when I get off work and upload some pics.

Glad to hear she made it OK.
