Minimum tub size

I'm finally switching to tubs what size (in quarts) would be appropriate for a hatchling, juvinile, and an adult. Thanks

6-12qt for hatchling
28-41qt for adults
A 41 would be for any snake over 2000ish grams. 41qts are for adult females usually. I know some people keep all their snakes in 28qts, some do 32, some do 34... It kinda depends on what size rack you have or how much space you have even though there isnt a huge difference in size between 28-34qts. I honestly dont know if there are any in between sizes for juvies. I assume most people go right from 6 or 12 to 28/32/34.

Ive been told this in the past:

New hatchlings go in 6-15 quarts. If it seems bigger than appropriate, you can always provide enough ground cover to make your bp feel more secure. Once they hit 400-500 grams I would switch them into 28-32 quart tubs. The males will stay in these tubs for the remainder of their lives. The females will move into 41 quart or CB70's when they get over 1000-1200 grams. Other people might do it slightly different.

I only have 2 snakes and might add a third, so it didn't make sense for me to build a rack that could accommodate multiple tub sizes. I built the rack for 41 qt tubs and use those for my snakes, even though they're only 150 grams or so. I also simply added several hides to help them feel more secure in a larger space. Right now they have 5 per tub (hot, cold, mid, humid, half log). I'll remove hides as I replace them with larger ones.

However, I have never had a problem keeping small snakes in large tubs or aquariums. Provide several hides, and they are perfectly fine in my experience.

With my BPs, I kept the since when I got them (a few weeks after hatching) in a 32qt tub rack. With 2 hides and a water bowl there was plenty of clutter to keep it form feeling to open and stressing them out.
