Need some advice

I have my 2500g female in a 55g tank right now until we get the 41q rack we're having built because I don't want to keep her in our 28q. I'm using aspen bedding & flexwatt on a dimmer to heat it. My problem is, she's so heavy that when she moves around, she just bulldozes all the bedding and ends up directly on the glass. I have it steadily at 91 degrees on the bottom glass at the hot side, but on top of the aspen (which is a thin layer on the hot side so the heat can move through easier) it's only at 74, with an ambient temp of 78. Any suggestions on how to bump up her temps without the risk of burning her?

If she moves the bedding to get to the glass, which is the correct temp, why do you need to increase the temp on top of the bedding? She will move it aside anyway, which creates a risk of burns if you increase the hot spot temp over what it should be.

I guess I'm mainly worried about the ambient temp. I don't really want to use a heat bulb because I've read that it sucks the humidity out (which I'm not having a great time with anyway).

78F is perfectly fine for an ambient temp. My snake room is 76-78F, with 90F hot spots, and I have no issues.
