Reptile Basics Hide Recommendation

I am looking to purchase a couple hides from Reptile Basics. I have a baby ball that currently weighs 110 grams. What size hide would I need, small? I read the descriptions and it really doesn't give a recommendation based on weight.

Just give them a call, you won't find better service anywhere!

I would go with a Medium size. It may be a bit large, but you can put some extra substrate or balled up newspaper in it to fill in some of the space if needed. The Smalls are really small and in a few months, your snake will outgrow them.

Remember they like their hides to be nice and snug

The smalls are great for a hatchling the size of yours, but like others have said they will outgrow it quickly. I start off with a small and then I graduate them to an intermediate sized homemade hide (Target plastic bowl). Eventually I graduate them to the medium hide. That will last until your BP is approximately 1200grams. Then I bump to the large hide (bigger than I prefer at 1200g but it's what I have.. Lol). I love RBI hides, I just wish they had more intermediate sizes.

I totally agree with this. The smalls are reeaally small and you can always fill up the space in the mediums with crumpled newspaper or sphagum moss....

how big is the large size? how big you think you snake should be for those?
