    how do i catch him
Ok i have had moe for 3 weeks now almost 4 and we have 3 feedings under our belt. So i feel its time for some short handling time. however when ever moe is out of his hide and i open the cages he darts for his hides. He is very fast. now moe loves his hide but he has learned a way to tighten up his muscles so that when i life his hide he stays in it. should i just pull him out of the hide when i lift it, or do i just have to snatch him quick before he gets in his hide. I don't want to make any sudden movements at him cause i am afraid he will stike at me. What should i do, and how should i do it

Lifting up the hide is good.

And just snatching him (as gentle as a "snatch" can be) would work too.

My corn still darts around her cage when i go in there and i just grab her and then she is perfectly fine.

he is a ball python. So its ok to pull up the hide and pull him off the roof. i am still a little suprised he wedges him self into that postion so he goes where the hide goes lol

Hissy does this all the time. All you have to do is grab Moe by the tail & GENTLY pull until you sort of uncoil him from out of the hide. Also, don't sweat gettin struck at, it really doesn't hurt at all. It is like gettin pinched only not very hard & the pain does not last at all.
