tax returnn!!! need opinions on my tanks?!

im getting my tax return soon and im wanting to change my caging... i hate the 55gal tanks im using now.

wanted to know what everyone suggests?

im either going to build some or buy them?

what plastic cages do u recommend for bps, corns and boas?

atm im only holding onto 2 bps.

so the measurements i want are 36x24x12

willing to go to like 36x18x12 but no less, i likem to be happy :D will eventually expand so stacking sounds nice.

anyway what do you suggest? build or buy price and eco wise?

room temp is kept at 72.

Larger doesnt always mean happier. A lot of snakes are actually stressed when put into too large a cage. I personally prefer racks but then again I dont have my snakes for display. If I wanted to display my snakes I would definitely look into the vision or animal plastics cages. They look great are stackable and the plastic will ensure that they last forever as long as they are not abused. Also its a lot easier to pick up a plastic cage for cleaning etc. than it is to pick up a glass tank or wooden cage. Plastic or pvc cages also hold humidity in very well. Below I provided links to two very reputable dealers. There are many more but these two are the only that I have experience with.

I agree as well, bigger isn't always better. BUT if you want to get more BP's then I would get a taller rack with more containers.

Both of my bps are 3ft+ they are big for only being a few months old

If plastic isn't your only option, check out Zilla Critter Cages 40 gallon glass tanks.. I love those tanks, w/ the locking tops, & it fits your size needs perfectly...:snake:

We have two Zilla 40 gallon breeder glass tanks with locking tops for Basil, our Ball (about 4 feet), and Aaliyah, our Beardie (including a 20 gallon for our Corn), and I must say, I would rather have stacking AP cages or vision cages. For a Ball, a non-see through tub in a AP rack would be perfect, as it make them feel secure, and if you're going for display tanks, the vision tanks are enclosed on 3 sides, as well as stacking beautifully. I think they're beautiful for displaying a collection. Also, a table/stand is unnecessary, and may even be unattractive. I hate having to have tables for my 40 gallon tanks (we use the cheap black fold out tables due to cost and space).

We're planning on enclosing Basil's tank on 3 sides with paper to help him feel more secure. :)

You cannot go wrong with either choice. If you're expanding, go with the rack system!

Try constrictorsnw.com, I just ordered my first one it should be here in a couple weeks. Ed Lilly is the owner, he's a great guy to deal with, answered my e-mails within a couple hours every time. They're made of HDPE instead of PVC. Read tons of reviews online before I ordered mine. Good luck

I personally have a zilla 20 gallon right now. but when mine gets a little bigger i'm thinking about moving her to an exo-terra. the front opening doors are very convienent, although it isn't the cheapest set up.. especially having two..
