Ghandi, oops I mean Xaero finally ate today after not eating since September 17th. Sure was interesting seeing first hand how long a bp can just up and decide not to eat for a long time! He'd refused to eat for about three months last spring, but this was my first long-term fast. Kept wondering when he was finally gonna crack....I cheated a little..........presented him with a f/k gerbil instead of a rat, lol. Heh, now watch him not want rats anymore! Got him out of the three month fast last year with one as well....like waving a cheeseburger in front of an Ethiopian!

Great news. I hope some of your luck rubs off onto Goblin when I try feeding him this week. it's been what, several months since he ate. Every breeding season he does this, but he has not lost much weight and was actually a bit fat before this whole fast thing (he still is too, hehe.)

Sounds like what I had to do to Bob. The trick to getting them back on rats is to get some Gerbil Helper (gerbil bedding) and let the rat sit in it for about a half hour before feeding them.

Eventually you lesson the application until finally they are back on straight rats.
