    Cheap Ideas for Large hides?
    Hey guys,

Sooo my male ball python shrike continues to grow like a weed and has outgrown his 3rd set of hides.. And I'm tired of buying the cool rock looking ones, what is a good cheap way to make hides? Keep in mind he is very large; he just broke the 2k grams mark (at only 1 year and 3 months he is HUGE for a male..) so he doesn't fit into most hides...

    Thanks,
    Fatal

Cardboard boxes. The best hides in the world! Completely free! Everyone single snake I own uses a cardboard box, cereal box, cracker box, etc.

Have you seen the hides sold by Reptile basics? They are far cheaper than the rock style ones sold at pet stores.

I love the RB hides. I am about to order more. I wish I would have just bought more at the Pomona show, but their booth was super busy at the time.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I really like the look of those hides... should I get mediums? He's about 5 feet long, 2000grams :).

    Thanks,

For a 2000 gram ball python I would go with larges. Mediums are good for ball pythons up to 700 grams. They suggest larges for adult ball Pythons

I would say Large. There is a description with each one on the site.

    Yep, what Freakie Frog said..............

They come in all sizes, they are cheap, and they are easily washed/disinfected. I use them for hatchlings up through adults.
