    Pile o' Babies
Was checking in on my rats and it looks like a couple of the girls in this colony popped the last couple of days. When I looked in and saw one of the ladies sprawled on top of this huge pile of babies I was relieved. They're a young colony and this is the first time they've allowed more than 10 babies to survive at a time. Keeping my fingers crossed that they're getting into the swing of things and starting a new, non-cannibalistic trend.

Some grow outs from my agouti pair and a brown doing its best to remain inconspicuous.

What's left of an agouti litter, I like to keep 1-2 bed warmers for the next group of babies.

Beautiful ASF's! Mine are all either very low white or solid. I would love to have some with that nice white head and bum! They are looking good :gj:

Lookin good! Very healthy and happy looking animals! :gj:
The colours you have are agouti, and cinnamon, by the way. The more reddish ones, are called cinnamons, and the darker ones are the agouti. Both are ticked varieties. Cinnamon is created by a dilution gene on top of agouti. In mice, the dilution gene is called chocolate, and on agouti it makes cinnamon, and on a black mouse, it makes solid brown or 'chocolate'

Now if ONLY we could get a black ASF, then we could also make chocolate ASFs! Wouldn't that be just great?

MiamiRoyal - If you breed 2 headspot (I assume your low whites are head spots) ASFs together, you should get saddle ASFs like the photos show. :)
