WHat do you look for in a Champagne?

Since the price of female Champagnes is becoming reasonable, I have started to look. I have seen that some have various degrees of ringing, while others have very obvious dorsal markings. I kind of like both, but not sure which is more useful later. Is the ringing or pattern genetic or random? I know the overall pattern is genetic, I mean the delineated markings along the spine, not all of them have it.

The really dark champagnes seem to be sort of genetic---NERD has produced some really wacky purple-looking things from them.

But honestly, I like the plain-old bright golden champagne with lots of dorsal "bubbles". It's such a striking, beautiful animal, and so different from the regular BP.

I look for the ones that hold their high orange color.

What are the current prices for champagnes in the us?
They are down to around £1600 for a male and £1000 for a female in uk.

Ive seen males as low as 1900 USD and females as low as 1200 USD recently. They seem to be dropping fairly quickly recently.

Why are females cheaper than males? just curious

I would think it is because people do not want to wait 2-3X longer to make more. Of course that does not seem to hold with other morphs, so just a guess.
