    Learning to pop/probe
Hi! I would like to ask how you guys got started when you first began learning to sex snakes. I do not have a lot of snakes to start practicing with, and I know not to pop each one more than once as not to stress them, but I figured I would give it a try with what I have.

I have watched a lot of youtube videos and also had two guys who knew how show me the process in person. When I tried to do it myself, starting with a male (so I know if I am doing it right I will see something), the snake was calm when I held it, but as soon as I tried to turn the tail end upside down, he seemed very agitated and sprayed pee all over me. I didn't even push or even hold the tail ready to pop yet. I just tried to turn him over. I let him correct himself, and after a few minutes, I did the same thing, and he peed all over me again. I decided to let him rest and put him in the rack.

I wonder if I am holding him wrong? Its not like I even began pressing or anything. I just basically handled the snake as normal and gently held the tail and turned upside down.
