I lost over 100 lbs in 8 months once. I have since put back on 60lbs - It's a healthier 60lbs, but I do need to loose some weight. I wanna get back to my college days. ;) I started the diet this week - it fricken sucks. If your looking for information and motivation visit bodybuilding.com - There's a lot of stuff on there just for loosing weight and you can track all your progress.

    Cheers and Goodluck.

When I quit drinking soda I didn't notice any difference
I am trying to lose a little bit of weight as well, really I just need to tone up some. I've lost 10lbs since the last time I weighed myself. I guess Just Dance 3 and The Black Eyed Peas Experience is doing something, lol.

I've been working on getting back into shape. All I did was cut out alcohol and get off my butt and work out. Started about 3 months ago and could barely run one mile at a 10 minute/mile pace and now I'm up to 5 miles at a 7 minute/mile pace. So far I have lost about 20 pounds in those 3 months and it took me about 2 years to gain those 20 pounds.

I went from 120 lbs soaking wet to 200 lbs when I had my son...and I was only 18. I held steady at 155 lbs at 5'6" after losing baby weight but that's still really heavy for my frame. This time last year I got back down to 128 after doing the slim fast diet. Well I started dating my boyfriend this summer and have packed on close to 30 lbs :( I started my diet again last week and my first weigh in is tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes. Ive heard of comfort weight but this is ridiculous lol cant I be comfortable AND skinny? I wont take no for an answer :)

One of the biggest things with soda aside from the sugar (and not many know either) is that the carbonation effects your ATP production, which effects fat stores and I believe will even cause some water retention (ie bloating). So even diet soda is bad for more than the obvious reasons... Another key thing that many don't consider is you'll see pretty dramatic results (considering the effort involved) just from increasing water consumption. If you were to consume 1 oz of water per lb of body weight in a day for say, a week. It would essentially flush the excess sodium from your body and you wouldn't retain nearly as much water. It would make you appear like you've lost maybe 4-5 lbs just from dropping excess water and bloating.

I personally dropped 30 lbs in 3 months by cutting out soda completely. I worked out regularly and was still a flabby 195... cut out soda and 3 mo's later I'm a not-flabby 165, and a couple years later after watching my diet and trying to gain good weight and I'm a not-flabby 180... hoping for 190 by end of January :)

yeah I was at 125 for the longest time because I was always working out then I started dating my boyfriend after 3 years Im at 142...but now back down to 139 I atleast need to be at 130 because 132 is average for 5'6"
