    SD retics and shedding.
I have been handling my worm almost everyday for a couple of minutes and have not noticed a single sign that he was about to shed. Last night when I went to check on him he was almost half way through with shedding. Is it normally like this or is it usually more noticable that they are about to shed? With my balls and redtails it is fairly obvious when they are about to shed. Just curious, thanks.

I have only one male retic and he just finished shedding saturday night. He is a purple albino tiger retic, and so he is bright yellow with crazy patterns. But, he still had cloudy eyes and dull looking skin. But, right before he shed he's eyes were clear and his body didn't look to dull. But, when I looked closely he had the spikey skin and didn't like being touched. I would think that there was some kind of sign's that maybe you didn't read as a shedding sign?
I had the same situation as you but with my female granite yellow anaconda. Last wednesday she feed normally. I held her on saturday in the afternoon. Then sunday evening when I got home, I noticed that her tub was all wrecked up. I looked closer inside and she had completed a full shed.
So, weird because I didn't see before this. Any cloudy eyes or dulling of the skin. I took some pic's last wednesday and did notice her lower half of her body looked overly white. She spend's alot of time in her pool so I figured she was water logged. You know when you stay in the bathtub to long? Your body becomes whitier and prunny, lol.

Funny you should mention this because I have a dwarf lav albino and I've missed her last two sheds. Her eyes never look blue like other snakes I've had and because of her colors, even dull she looks great. My only clue in both cases was that she didn't want to eat. I thought the cooler temps might have put her off-feed, but, nope - it was time to shed again!
I feel like a terrible keeper, especially after having had so many other snakes, but she always fools me. As far as handling, she didn't behave any differently when being handled while in shed. She's an odd bird, but I lover her all the same if not more because of it!

Mine hardly ever have blued eyes. Like all snakes if you know them well enough you can tell. They get a bit dull looking and their colors just don't show through. I keep my waterbowls on the heat tape 24/7 with the SD because they like a bit more humidity. Sometimes I'll catch them soaking the night before a shed.

I can tell when mine is going to shed, but it is more subtle for sure. Very light cloudiness to eyes, but it lays differently and its colors are a bit off.
