We're giving her to a breeder who is letting us choose the male he breeds her to and a female morph from the pair

Personally it looks like a normal to me.

If your doing a breeding loan make sure you get everything worked out and in writing prior to giving the breeder your animal.

Not really a loan, we're just giving herto him. But we might just trade her fr a morph he has now

It would seem you are getting taken advantage of.... In a breeding loan you keep your snake and get half of the clutch... So going into a deal where you are giving away the female for one animal from the clutch is a pretty unfair deal in my opinion..... And yeah, I am with Kesslers get everything in writing, Contracts keep people friends

But I would seriously think about the deal you are making with the breeder because it seriously sounds like you are being taken advantage of

Nah its a breeder we deal with a lot. We found this girl on craigslist and mainly wanted the 90 gallon tank she came with. We asked him if he wanted her before we even got her. Plus we've never bred before. We wanna just raise the little ones by time they're of size we should be experienced enough to handle breeding.

I agree giving a normal breedable female away doesn't make much sense. Then again there could be some schematics we don't all know about. If it was a loan you should split the clutch. If you're going to trade well make sure it of equal value.

The deal itself is really up to the OP. It sounds like whether or not the new girl is breedable is moot, since you aren't interested in breeding her yourself right now. If what you paid for her plus the tank is less than or equal to the cost of the tank plus the morph you are going to get from your friend, then that sounds equitable to me.

And to answer your original question, I see a nice, light-colored normal that would go great crossed with a high-blushed, bright morph male. :gj:

I traded a camera (that we lost the charger for so had a hard time selling) for her plus a 90 gallon tank and heat lamp and a few other things. And I'm actually becoming a bit attached to her but we're pretty much trading her. We choose the male morph and get a female morph from that clutch (we're going with mojo I want one so bad). So the way I see it we're trading a $120 (give or take on value) normal breeder size female for a '12 mojo femal that would normally go for 175-250 give or take. It seems fair. Plus this guy does good deals for us on a normal basis. If I felt I was experienced and prepared enough to breed her myself id keep her. But I wanna wait another year before that.

What if the odds gods aren't there and no females come out? Or worse yet she doesn't breed because she is stressed due to the change of environment?
