    Time For a Bigger Tub?
I have my male ball in a 28q tub. No humidity or temp problems, everything is fine. He is getting to be about 4 feet now at 1.5 years old. Is it time to get him a larger tub? Or are they generally comfortable in a tub about this size? I ask because he just seems so large compared to the actual living space of the tub. I can see how it would be ample space or a smaller snake, but he's not a small snake. Lately when he is under his hide (only one hide in the tub because I can't fit any more) the hide sits on top of him because he is getting to be pretty darn big. He sits on top of the hide lately, but he just doesn't have much room to roam or stretch out.

I'm thinking it's time but I'd like to get some opinions first. What size of tub do I move up to?

    Any advice would be great.

I have my adults in 34qts, but you could probably move him to something as big as a 41qt as well without issues.

If you don want to get a new tub, removing the hide will give him some more space. Some snakes dont mind at all especially when they are in an enclosed tub. If he starts to refuse meals then put the hide back in but as long as he eats for you removing the tub might give him the space he needs.

4 foot snake is in a 2 foot tub is kinda small standard advice is the enclosure should be 2/3rds the length of the snake but alot of ppl don't follow it so its up to you i'd do a 41 qt if your really concerned

I keep all my males in 28's. No hides Unless I get some behemoth, then move to 41.
