Breeding tip for reluctant males

I have been working on different ideas to "excite" males that have been reluctant to start this season. This is one idea that has been working well and I wanted to share. I take a paper towel and place it with snakes that are actively breeding. I leave the paper towel in for 2 days. Then I place that paper towel in with a lone female for one day. After one day I leave the paper towel in and introduce a slow starting male. The scent from the paper towel seems to excite the female and she is receptive to the male. The males have instantly been more aggressive breeders. Usually locking up within the hour. Hope this information is helpful.

That's a great tip. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I will put the shed of another male in the enclosure with both the female and a reluctant male. The scent of the other male seems to spark a "I smell another male in the area, I better get her first" response that often works as well.

I have been having fun this season with different tricks but this one really has been working the best. That male was my most anticipated to breed this season, he is a Hypo Fire that I produced last season :clap:
