Does anyone have Monitor Feeding schedule ?

Okay so I have a 2 monitors a Savanna and a Nile. I wanted toe see if anyone have a feeding schedule they can share. I wanted to see what you guys do, like what you feed him Monday- Sunday and what days you do and don't feed,and how much you feed them. Also as in a month calender what do you guys do. I want to have healthy monitors not obese that's one of the reasons why I'm asking.I have heard having a schedule helps keeping healthy monitors. And if there is a site that has a schedule that would be great as well.
I looking from hatchlings to Adults.
You can include other things on a schedule would be great.

Also any other tips on monitor feeding and caring monitors is appreciated.

Nile Monitors are garbage disposals and will take food almost anytime they are offered. I feed mine: gizzards, chicken hearts, crickets, canned dog food, etc.

Basically mines so young he eats once and sleeps it off for a couple of days, then comes out when hes hungry again, so hes got HIS own feeding schedule really lol.

HAhaha :D thats funny on the Nile. My nile is about 1-3 mnths old, a hatchling. I'm haven't feed him since I just got him today( but I stuck 3 crickets in there just in case.) He will be on crickets and roaches. My savanna doesn't like roaches because they don't run when he tries to get them. He love crickets,and is a challenge to eat them, but they are starting to get small now to him. I've tried feeding him some roaches again, but a total fail, but he will eat meal worms big enough and 1 fuzzy a week but I'm not sure if 1 fuzzy a enough. I never feed them those meats, but Ill try it. Do you have any suggestion on how to prepare them and what store to get them at. Like Vons, Albertsons, ect.

My nile is a baby too lol. You should deffinantly stack up on some chicken hearts/gizzards, niles LOVE them, plus they are like $2 for a pound or two from your local grocery store, just go to the chicken section lol they come in a package mixed together. Just take some out, cut them up to proper size, and defrost them to room temperature, you can feed them raw which is the awesome part, no cooking needed (and make sure you feed him the gizzards/chicken hearts with tongs lol, you'll want to keep your fingers).

My nile loves crickets alot too, gives him the thrill of the hunt, and he loves chasing dubias around :gj:

Rodents are good for their diet to, i make sure to feed my nile a variety of foods.

Alright I'm sure to do that.:D . Do you think a Savannah would eat that? He is almost a yr, how many time a week would you feed the chicken hearts/gizzards ?

I've never kept monitors so I can't really give you any advice other than sending you that site. There are many VERY experienced people on here though, I'm sure they'll give you answers soon.

I wouldnt feed your sav the meat products but the nile sure! We feed our 5 year old nile a medium rat every other day, a variety of raw meat and dubia roaches. We feed beef liver, ground beef, chicken breast, ground turkey and occasionally attempt fish shrimp and crayfish.

They will eat just about anything you give them but its up to you to give them the good stuff.

Our Sav gets roaches, crickets, superworms and an occasional pink (like 1x a month). We also offer snails shrimp and fish but she hasn't shown interest in those yet. She gets fed daily.

Stick with whole foods. Rodents,insects, whole fish, whole chicks. No pieces of this,hearts of that.

The savannah site posted is a good one. I don't agree with the don't feed Savs rodents, but thats another debate.
