Today is another day in the "I really wish I could have snakes where I'm at" life.
I was at petsmart picking up a new food for Loki, when I decided to swing by the reptile section to see what they have in.

They had a new ball python in, and this baby SCREAMED dinker. Now, I've done my research and am able to identify quite a few morphs on site. This wasn't any morph that I knew of, and it definitely did NOT look like a normal.

Plenty of flamage, small alien heads, a granitey look, but the thing that really caught my attention was that it was ORANGE.

As in a deep, vibrant, rusty orange. Maybe a shade or two lighter than what you see on pumpkin pieds.

Altogether, if I was allowed to get ball pythons where I'm at, I would have snapped the baby up (at $50, definitely worth it just for the dinker prospects).

Sadly I'm still not allowed, and couldn't snap a picture, but oh man did it look like a perfect dinker.

i had an orange normal once he was 100% het - personally i hate playing with dinkers, you have no idea what recessive trait is hiding, or even if there is one. IMO you saved yourself $50 lol

I'm not even talking het for anything. I want to see if what that baby looks like as-is is reproducable, and if so, whether it looks good paired with other morphs.

And I'm as curious as the cat in the saying (and firmly believe that satisfaction brought him back). $50 is TOTALLY worth it just to satisfy my curiousity.

It's the Petsmart right by the Irving Mall (off of 183). If anyone in Dallas wants to swing by and pick him/her up, feel free. I'd be happy just knowing that such a beautiful little snake ends up with a good home.
