Cypress mulch

I have two tanks for my two ball pythons. 4' long. The bottom one has cypress mulch & holds humidity at 50-60%. Setup the top tank same way & humidity goes up to 70%. Why? Will it go down to 50-60% like the bottom tank? The glass doors get all wet & the walls do too.

Could be a lot of reasons...

Do they have the same amount of mulch?

Are your heat sources in the exact same spots set to the exact same temperatures?

What is the difference in height between the top and bottom tank/cage? Just the ambient temperature at different elevations in the room could make a big difference.

The tanks are stacked. One thermostat controls both radiant heat panels.

Same amount of mulch. Heat panel in the same place.

I want the best for my snakes. Should I remove some mulch? I know this mulch holds humidity you can see it in the big bag I purchased.

I have four sticks in the top cage. One in the bottom.

I took the sticks out. Still at 65-70%. I'll remove some mulch & see if that helps. Any tips please share.

I'm going to use aspen in the top tank. That will solve my issues.

Ok so I did something wrong. I had the thermostat probe in the bottom tank which in return raised the top tank hot side to high. I caught this quick enough that my snakes didn't get hurt. I put the thermostat probe in the top tank. Heat rises. So now both tanks are fine. I'm posting this mistake on my part for hopefully it might help someone else.
