    best combo to make my 2 favorite snakes
    i need opinions,my 2 favorite morphs are a queen bee and a spinnerblast,im trying to figure out a combo for the best odds to make both of them in the same clutch
    i've only come up with a couple of combos.
    spinner+lesser pastel
    spinner+super pastel lesser
    kingpin pastel+bumble bee(i think)

    HELP!!!!!!:confused:

    So if I am understanding this right you are wanting to produce
    pastel pinstripe spider lesser
    and
    superpastel pinstripe spider lesser
    Correct?
    If that is the case I think the way to go would be a Killer bee x emperorpin
    or superblast x queen bee
    now mind you to produce these 2 animals from one year of breeding may simply not happen, you odds are really amazing on a breeding like that 16 different morphs and no normals...... But that does leave you a 1in 16 shot on each egg being one of the two animals you are wanting.... And even if you dont produce the 2 that you are wanting you should make good money on that clutch....

    I guess if you wanted to increase your odds on producing it somewhat a pastel super lesser x super spin would help a bit that would drop your odds to a 1 in 8 across the board...... but again you are looking at a good initial investment

    You could also do emperor pin (kingpin pastel) + spider. However, the more of each gene that you have in the equation, the better the odds for multigene offspring (e.g. super pastel instead of just pastel, or BEL instead of just lesser, or spider in both parents, etc, etc.). The combos and potential are unlimited - that's what makes it so fun!

    o ya and i have a chance at making a kingspin with the spider+lesser pastel combo!cant complain with that one.your right annarose im really excited about making something cool,this would be one of my first clutches(im also making double hets for albino pieds:D)out of the clutch i would like to make a spinnerblast more because i have alot of future plans to make with him.

    Basic technique for selecting breeders:
    Decide what you want to produce on a locus by locus basis
    Figure out all the ways to produce that on a locus by locus basis
    See what animals best fit the genetics and at the best price

    pastel pinstripe spider lesser has 4 loci of interest. The genotype at each locus is
    1. pastel//normal
    2. pinstripe//normal
    3. spider//normal
    4. lesser//normal

    Superpastel pinstripe spider lesser has the same genotype as a pastel pinstripe spider lesser except at locus #1, where the genotype is
    1. pastel//pastel

    And you want to produce both super pastels and pastels in the same clutch.

    Locus 1: two possible matings
    pastel//pastel x pastel//normal --> 1/2 pastel//pastel, 1/2 pastel//normal
    pastel//normal x pastel//normal --> 1/4 pastel//pastel, 2/4 pastel//normal, 1/4 normal//normal

    Locus 2: 4 possible matings
    pinstripe//pinstripe x pinstripe//normal --> 1/2 pinstripe//pinstripe, 1/2 pinstripe//normal
    pinstripe//pinstripe x normal//normal --> 1/1 pinstripe//normal
    pinstripe//normal x pinstripe//normal --> 1/4 pinstripe//pinstripe, 2/4 pinstripe//normal, 1/4 normal//normal
    pinstripe//normal x normal//normal --> 1/2 pinstripe//normal, 1/2 normal//normal

    Locus 3: 2 possible matings
    spider//normal x spider//normal --> 1/4 spider//spider, 2/4 spider//normal, 1/4 normal//normal
    spider//normal x normal//normal --> 1/2 spider//normal, 1/2 normal//normal

    Locus 4: 4 possible matings
    lesser//lesser x lesser//normal --> 1/2 lesser//lesser, 1/2 lesser//normal
    lesser//lesser x normal//normal --> 1/1 lesser//normal
    lesser//normal x lesser//normal --> 1/4 lesser//lesser, 2/4 lesser//normal, 1/4 normal//normal
    lesser//normal x normal//normal --> 1/2 lesser//normal, 1/2 normal//normal

    I figure there are dozens of possible matings that could produce the desired baby snakes.

    Locus 4: 4 possible matings
    lesser//lesser x lesser//normal --> 1/2 lesser//lesser, 1/2 lesser//normal
    lesser//lesser x normal//normal --> 1/1 lesser//normal
    lesser//normal x lesser//normal --> 1/4 lesser//lesser, 2/4 lesser//normal, 1/4 normal//normal
    lesser//normal x normal//normal --> 1/2 lesser//normal, 1/2 normal//normal

    Best odds from a combination involving 1a, 2b, 3a, 4b. The difficulty is finding the snakes at a price you are willing to pay.
