    Pablo
I just received Pablo on Sunday from my Stupid Ex because he decided that even though he'd just bought Pablo from Petsmart three weeks ago, he couldn't keep him and he was going to get rid of it (into the wilds of a Michigan winter, btw). But Stupid Ex thought he'd stop by my house first, probably because he knows I'm a sap and would take the poor snake in. :(

I'm still working on my cage set up as I was ill-prepared to take a juvenile ball python in at the drop of a hat, but I've done a lot of reading, taken some advice from other herpers, and have made tweaks here and there as finances have allowed. (As I had to buy an entirely new tank set up for Pablo because he was in a "tank" that would be more appropriately considered a fish bowl. :weirdface) This Friday should see Pablo getting the set-up and equipment he deserves. :)

Anyways, despite the recent move, Pablo has seemed to settle in well. He hides in his rock den under the light/heat lamp all day and when I turn that off and the night black light/heat lamp on, he slithers up to the front of the cage and stares and tongue flicks at me while I'm on the computer. He usually does a little more investigating before curling up in his hide log with his head poking out to stare at me the rest of the night.

    Pictures!!

I'm super excited for my first snake, even if I didn't get him in the best circumstances. :D

hes a very healthy looking and beautiful snake, the circumstances suck - but congrats on your new pet. Personally I wish all my exs would show up at my door with free snakes. That would be awesome! But that's just me :P.

Well, I wouldn't have minded if I'd had at least a little warning. Maybe, you know, a call ahead or something. As it was, he tried to play it off like, oh, hey let me show you something cool!, and then once I started cooing over his snake, he said, great, so does that mean you'll take him?

    Sigh.
