    Xotik
Bare with me, I'm a little excited.
So this is my first pairing...Ever.

I put them together about an hour ago. They are a 1175g male named Icky, and a 1975g female named Sable. (Empty weights).

I had just introduced them to each other - after a brief meeting in the kitchen when Sam and I walked by each other. Sable on the left, Icky on the right. You can barely see her tongue sniffing at him. It's adorable.

Shortly after putting them together, and before this next picture, I shoved my fists under my chin, and in my cutest little girl voice said "Now do it!" and now Sam is making fun of me for it. Pretty consistently. He's playing Skyrim and randomly will look up and say "Now do it!" In a little girl voice - which is creepy, coming from a grown man. ANYWAYS - On to more pictures..

Then a few moments later, Sable slides up behind to him and Icky picks up his head, and I swear he said "MOM SHES TOUCHING MEEEEEEEE, MAKE HER STOP! MOM SHE WONT STOP!!"

Then Sable takes him for a tour of her hide. Awkward hug/cuddling ensues.

    Then, twenty minutes later....ALMOST!

And an hour later..SO MUCH CLOSER!

Yes, I know I'm being an over-active mommy. But it's kind of hard not to be when you play with your snakes, computers and watch tv in the same room. I literally can look over my shoulder from where I am and see them.

I've never bred anybody before, I've never even housed anyone together before. Icky has settled into Sable's apartment quite well, and isn't nearly as stressed as I thought he would be.

I'm guessing that I may wake up tomorrow morning and have a lock. I'm not counting on it, but man would that be epic.

I'm also crossing my fingers that getting some tail will make Icky eat. I've had him since October, and he hasn't eaten once. Only lost about 20g, so I'm definitely not worried, but it is strange to have an animal that just doesn't want food.

Right now they are "snuggling" and I'm doing my best to stay in my recliner and not sit right next to the tank and watch.

"now do it" hehe! That made me giggle!

My male pastel didn't eat for me again tonight. I decided that since he figures he's gonna be off feed for breeding season I'd give him his wish and put him in with my big normal girl that he's been locking with since oct. that'll show him! Haha!
