    Black Pastel or not?
    Hi all,

I got this female as a black pastel. I'm little doubt it because there's no or very little squiggles on her pattern.
Also, do the black pastel have pattern or their belly? Because this snake have some.

Can you please confirm is she really a black pastel or isn't?

I don't know, but Lily who I bought as a normal has more squiggles than that.

I'm gonna have to agree. Not a black pastel. We just picked one up three days ago that looksand they are nothing alike. Ares is darker and has a lot more design to its pattern. Still its a very nice looking normal. Plus its a ball so its still great lol

    I disagree....she's a Black Pastel...just a sub-par example.
No offense...but not all examples are created equally. With the right male...you could still get some awesome offspring......be picky with your choice of mate....

    Re: Black Pastel or not?
I believe that is a Black Pastel. So she doesn't have obvious "squiggles". Most do, she doesn't. We need to realize that casually saying "not a black pastel" is calling to question the integrity of the breeder that produced her and sold her. We don't know how much of a standout this animal was compared to others in the clutch that maybe weren't Black Pastels. She might even have been sired by a Super. We don't know that. I'll bet as a hatchling she looked much more like the pictures that most of you are used to seeing. If I were looking for a sub-adult Black Pastel I would definitely consider purchasing that animal and I would not suspect her to be a misrepresented normal.

IMO, I don't think she looks like a black pastel.

That's not a black pastel to me. She's really good looking though, just not a black pastel.

She has some subtle characterisitcs of the blak pastel (the slight alien head squiggles) but I have to say not a black pastel.
