    sexing a ball python
    so i definately just watched a how to video on popping a snake for sexing purposes and it seemed to me like there is a potential of injuring your snake if not careful. Is it dangerous to do or is it safe to do as long as done right. Sorry i have never attempted this.

    I would recommend having someone experienced show you in person how to do it first, but if this isn't possible I say go ahead and try but be gentle until you get the right position and get a feel for the correct amount of pressure to use. Yes you can damage a snake's parts by popping, but as long as you take it slow and study those videos you should be fine. I know Ralph Davis has a few popping videos on youtube.
