Sailfin Pet Shop Champaign Illinois

Sailfin is a Pet store that has been in business for over 30 years. But in my opinion 30 hasn't been long enough for them to learn "The Customer Always Comes First"

Sailfin in one of two locally owned pet stores in my area, and with no local breeders that I know of my ability to acquire supplies without going online is limited. Though they range in the products and animals you can receive I will stick to only reptile related supplies and animals. (including feeders) So lets begin this "Feedback"

I myself, have acquired from them 5 females rats, 3 where good sizes and the other two quite large. The price of them was good, BUT the kicker, I was lied to about the ages of two larger ones and recently figured out they were retired breeders. Nice to know. Along the line of rats, okay, but lying to the customer is one thing I can not tolerate.

The kicker is the reptiles themselves. Three times i attempted to buy a snake, ALL three I was treated with absolute disrespect. Besides not being allowed to even touch the snake and at every question given a quick (and wrong...) answer that showed the employees simply didn't want to take the time to not only answer a few simply questions, or even ask to get me the truthful answer.

All stores have there good moments and there bad moments, but in my opinion the bad outweighs the good in this aspect, I have more bad experiences I could share about this store, but i must keep this short and will end on one finale thing. I mentioned above "30 years has not been enough" This is because the owner and management having no respect for the customer. Every time I ask a simple question I get a a look of "are you stupid" and every time I try to ask a question the owner simply walks or way or yells at me. Having NO respect for a customer simply wanting to do the best they can for there pets is unacceptable.

I will shop here only if I HAVE to, and my recommendation is everyone in the area do the very same. It's just another case of good quality products and animals, but horrible service ruins it.
