    50/55 gal aquarium
I recently acquired a 50/55 gal (not sure which) and I was wondering what snake would be happy to live in it for its whole life? I already have a ball python and a corn snake. I would like to get a new breed. I really want a BRB but I know this would not be a tank for it. I was also thinking about a blood python but I don't know the size that it would need.

Please let me know what you think and let me know what snakes would not out grow the tank. I'm just looking at all my options.

    Thank you :)

ive always wanted a couple rough green snakes (Opheodrys aestivus), i havent looked too much into them, but i think it would be cool to have 2-3 in my 55 once my BP is out of there, heres a caresheet i found on them if your interested, idk how accurite it is though

other than that i would get a kingsnake, i really miss the one i used to have, it was a really cool snake

They seem pretty cool but it says they need UV light and with how tall the tank is I don't know if the UV ray could reach the bottom. :(

The UV ray should reach the bottom. :] It's light, essentially a wave and the height of a 55 gal won't stop it. But I'm not sure on it's effectiveness at that distance, but I'm fairly certain that they make tons of lights dedicated to different aquarium sizes, so there is a UV out there for a 50/55 that would work.

plus, theyre arboreal/ or at least semi-arboreal, so if you have stuff for them to climb on theyll be closer to it

Oh ok! I don't know much on UV and what I have read they said the have to be within 12 inches from the bottom... I'll look into it :D

Anyone know if that size would be ok for a blood?
